## Key takeaways

1. **Prime: lower costs, a salary, and a rule to keep.** Prime exists at $50,000, $100,000 and $200,000 only.
2. **Instant: funded today, on tighter terms.** Instant Pro starts at $154 for $2,500 and runs to $3,278 for $100,000.
3. **The rules that are the same on all three.** Several rules do not change with the family.
4. **Reading the fee honestly.** The fee is the figure everyone compares and the one that misleads most.
5. **Who should buy which.** Whichever family you choose, start a size below the one you can afford.

We sell three kinds of CFD account. Edge is the evaluation route: a small fee, a profit target, then a funded account on an 80% split that grows to 95% as you scale. Prime is the same route at the larger sizes, with lower commissions, a monthly salary and a 100% split after 30 days funded, in exchange for a consistency rule. Instant skips the evaluation: you are funded the day you buy, at a higher fee, a lower split and tighter loss limits.

None of the three is the best one. Each prices a different trade-off, and the right choice depends on how much you want to pay up front, how steady your trading is from week to week, and whether you can pass an evaluation at all. This page puts the published figures side by side and says plainly who each suits.

Every figure is from the [plan pages](https://whitepips.com/cfds) , where each size and rule is listed; the [trading rules](https://whitepips.com/legal/trading-rules) are the binding text.

## Edge: the cheapest way in

Edge comes in two versions. **Edge 1 Step** has one phase with a 10% target, a 4% Daily Loss Limit and a 7.5% Maximum Loss Limit, static. **Edge 2 Step** has a 7.5% target then a 5% one, with a looser 4.5% daily limit and a 9% maximum. Both run at up to 1:100 leverage, with three profitable days of 0.5% to pass on 1 Step and two per phase on 2 Step, and neither has a time limit.

Fees start at $43 for a $2,500 Edge 1 Step and $32 for the 2 Step; a $100,000 account is $646 and $597. The fee is not refunded on Edge (on Prime it is). Funded, both pay 80%, weekly, with the first payout on demand, and the split rises five points for each 90-day scaling cycle met, up to 95%, while the account grows 30% a cycle up to $680,000. Edge 2 Step has no minimum payout; on Edge 1 Step it is 1% of the starting balance, capped at $100.

Commissions are $5 a lot round turn on forex, $6 on metals and energies, free on indices and stocks, and 0.06% of trade value on crypto. The 1 Step is for traders who would rather clear one larger target under a tighter floor; the 2 Step costs less and gives more room per phase at the price of a second phase. [The arithmetic of the two routes](https://whitepips.com/blog/one-step-two-step-three-step) is covered separately.

## Prime: lower costs, a salary, and a rule to keep

Prime exists at $50,000, $100,000 and $200,000 only. The evaluation is close to Edge: Prime 1 Step has a 10% target, 4% daily and 8% maximum at up to 1:50 leverage; Prime 2 Step has 7.5% then 5%, with 5% daily and 10% maximum at up to 1:100. Fees start at $514 for a $50,000 1 Step and $469 for the 2 Step; $200,000 is $1,799 and $1,484. The fee is refunded in full once you are funded and in profit after 30 days.

What you are buying is the funded account. Commissions drop to $4 a lot on forex, $5 on metals and 0.045% on crypto, with energies unchanged at $6. The split is 80% for the first 30 days funded and 100% after that, and a salary of 1% of the account size a month accrues daily from the day you are funded, paid with your payouts. Prime splits do not scale further; the account itself can still grow through the 90-day cycles, up to $680,000.

The price of all this is the Prime Consistency Rule. Every seven days your trade count and your volume per instrument must stay within 25% either side of your averages from the evaluation and your first 30 funded days, and every 90 days your payouts plus account profit must reach 5% of the starting balance. Breaking either moves the account to a standard funded account of the same size: the same capital, no salary, no 100% split. Prime suits a trader whose method is already fixed, who trades the same instruments at the same size week after week, and who trades enough lots for the commission saving to matter.

## Instant: funded today, on tighter terms

**Instant Pro** starts at $154 for $2,500 and runs to $3,278 for $100,000. It pays 75%, weekly, with no profitable-days condition, under a 3.5% Daily Loss Limit, a 7% static Maximum Loss Limit and leverage of up to 1:33. **Instant Go** is cheaper, $72 to $1,635 for the same sizes, pays 70% every two weeks after five profitable days of 0.5%, and runs at 3% daily, 6% maximum and up to 1:25 leverage. The first payout on either can be requested after your first trade.

Two rules exist on Instant only. Max Floating Loss per Symbol stops all open positions on one instrument floating more than 1.5% of the starting balance under water: 1% sends a notice, the first breach is a formal warning, and each later one is a strike that pays the next payout cycle at a 10% split. Profit Concentration caps how much of your profit may come from one symbol or one day; while you are over it, payouts on that account are paused until the share is back inside the limit. Commissions match Edge. Instant splits can rise through the 90-day cycles too, by up to 15 points, and the account grows to a $340,000 cap rather than $680,000.

The Instant fee is not refunded, because there is no evaluation to refund it against. The minimum payout is 1% of the starting balance, $25 on $2,500. Instant suits a trader who has already proved the method elsewhere, wants to be paid from the first week, and sizes small enough that a 3% day is a rare event. [What instant funding trades away](https://whitepips.com/blog/instant-funding-or-evaluation) goes into the choice at more length.

## The rules that are the same on all three

Several rules do not change with the family. Max Exposure caps the combined notional of open positions at a published figure per size, from $125,000 on $2,500 to $2,000,000 on $200,000, with a warning first and closure on the second breach. Weekend holding is an add-on at 20% of the fee on every plan; without it, positions still open at 4:45 PM New York time on Friday are closed, a warning the first time and closure the second. Swap-Free is a separate add-on priced per size.

News trading is allowed on all of them, with straddling reviewed by the risk desk. Your own expert advisors and copying your own trades are allowed; anyone else's are not. Thirty days without a closed trade ends any of the accounts. Payouts go by bank transfer, USDT, USDC, BTC or ETH once identity is verified, on every family alike, and all three run on MetaTrader 5.

## Reading the fee honestly

The fee is the figure everyone compares and the one that misleads most. A $100,000 Edge 1 Step costs $646 and the fee is not refunded. A $100,000 Prime 1 Step costs $914, and its fee comes back in full once the account is funded and in profit after 30 days, so a trader who gets there has paid nothing for the account but the time. A $100,000 Instant Pro costs $3,278, is not refunded, and pays out from the first week at 75% instead of 80%. Between them is the question of whether you expect to pass, and how soon you need the payouts to start.

Prime looks expensive next to Edge at the same size, $914 against $646 at $100,000, and is cheaper to trade. A trader doing 100 lots of forex a month saves $100 a month in commission alone, and the 100% split and the 1% salary are worth far more than the fee difference within a few months of funding, if the consistency rule is kept. If it is not, the account becomes an Edge-style funded account that cost $268 more. The split's growth on Edge and Instant is covered in [how a profit split grows](https://whitepips.com/blog/profit-split-and-scaling) .

## Who should buy which

- **Edge** if you have not yet passed an evaluation, if the fee matters, or if you want the simplest set of rules. Choose 1 Step for a single target, 2 Step for more room per phase and a lower fee.
- **Prime** if your method is settled, you trade a fixed set of instruments at steady size, you trade enough volume for a $1 a lot saving to count, and you were going to buy $50,000 or more anyway.
- **Instant** if you can already show a track record, want to be paid from the first week, and will accept a 3% or 3.5% daily limit and a per-symbol floating loss cap in return. Instant Pro for weekly payouts without a profitable-days condition; Instant Go for a lower fee.

If you are undecided between Edge and Prime at $50,000 or more, check your last three months of trading against the Prime Consistency Rule: trade count and volume per instrument within 25% of your average, week after week. If your own record would not pass it, buy Edge and treat the commission difference as the price of flexibility.

Whichever family you choose, start a size below the one you can afford. The rules are proportional, the fee is not, and a smaller account passed is worth more than a larger one lost.

## Questions traders ask

**Can I move from Edge to Prime later?** Each account is bought as one plan and stays in it. A Prime account that breaks its consistency rule becomes a standard funded account; the reverse does not happen. If Prime is the goal, buy Prime.

**How is the Prime salary paid?** It accrues daily from the day you are funded at 1% of the account size a month, is paid with your payouts, and stops if the account is downgraded. The Payout page shows what has accrued.

**Why are Instant leverage and loss limits lower?** The account carries no evaluation, so the limits do the job the evaluation would have done. The loss limits are tighter and the leverage ceiling lower for the same reason, and the per-symbol floating loss rule exists for it too.
